Alto's Odyssey

Alto's Odyssey is a game in the form of a continuation of the Alto's Adventure saga. At its core, the game is a perpetual 2D side-scrolling runner. The player rides a snowboard and sandboard on the dunes. While riding, collect coins and swag for collections. Items will help improve your character's strength and obtain new types of transport. You can use things to buy other items by leveling up your character.

Game plot

The first game, where Alto snowboarded down the side of a mountain, is different. The new version contains several biomes with different locations. You start the game sandboarding through the desert. Along the way you will come across such scenery as temples, hot air balloons and waterfalls. Moreover, many of these new elements can be interacted with.

For example, balloons help you jump and stay in the air longer. You can also slide along the walls of temples to get a boost. The ropes connecting the balloons also move, adding another element of complexity. The coolest addition by far is wall riding. 

Peculiarities

After completing the first few levels, you will gain access to a sandboard that you can use to ride along vertical walls. The game mechanics are easy to use. The game is primarily monetized through advertising. If it fails, you can watch a 30-second ad to continue tracking. Sometimes advertisements will automatically play between runs. Ads can be removed using an in-app purchase.
