My Child New Beginnings is a parenting simulation game. The gameplay is emotionally driven, focusing on helping an adopted child heal from deep past trauma. You take on the role of an adoptive parent to either Klaus or Karin—children who have suffered severe trauma—and build a life based on the daily routines of a typical family.
Description
You play as the adoptive parent of Klaus or Karin—children who have survived significant trauma. Your task is to build a safe, supportive environment day by day: attending to basic needs, helping the child manage their emotions, discussing difficult situations, and offering support as they face new challenges. The game operates on daily cycles where you balance time between work, home life, and the child; you choose dialogue responses and decide how to react to stressful moments (such as panic attacks, anxiety, or conflicts at school and in the neighborhood). Every choice impacts the child's emotional state and the way their story unfolds.
Features
- dialogue choices and daily actions influence the child's levels of trust, self-esteem, and anxiety, leading to different possible endings;
- the game directly addresses the consequences of trauma, anxiety, and the challenges of growing up;
- it includes scenes that may be emotionally intense;
- due to discussions of complex psychological themes and specific emotionally heavy scenes, the game carries a 13+ age rating.
