Plot and gameplay
LEGO Hill Climb Adventures is an arcade racer simulator. There are actually two buttons, brake and gas. If the car ends up in the air, you can adjust its position so that it doesn’t crash on the ground using these two buttons. You need to drive along the highway, collect Lego pieces and coins, sometimes build bridges and perform similar actions.
The game is a linear set of levels. There are three chapters so far, with more promised in the future. LEGO Hill Climb Adventures is a racing game with a story, and each level tells a piece of the overall story.
Peculiarities
- Recognizable Lego design. The levels are well designed, the environment is destroyed spectacularly - almost everything needs to be broken.
- The car can be modified by upgrading its characteristics. There are more than a dozen cars to choose from, which are unlocked as you progress through the game. They move realistically: inertia corresponds to mass, streamlining gives speed.
- The lack of Russian language is a significant problem. Yes, a high level of knowledge of English is not required, the controls are intuitive, but the trick of LEGO Hill Climb Adventures is the presence of a plot. Without knowledge of the language it is difficult to grasp it.
